COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH JOINING MWP

1. USAWP MEMBERSHIP - Your USAWP Membership will be annual and billed by USAWP.  This is required to register with Mesa Water Polo as USAWP is our governing body.

2. MWP ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP: This is an annual membership strictly for athletes enrolled in Mesa Water Polo.  These dues are used to subsidize the cost of Administration and Web-based programs used by the club. 

• AGE GROUP ATHLETES - A yearly MWP membership Fee is required upon initial registration starting the Fall of current school year. This fee will be prorated as subsequent seasons commence.
  • Fall : $100 (good from Fall - Fall)
  • Winter: $75.00 (good from Winter - Fall)
  • Spring: $ 50.00 (good from Spring - Fall)
  • Summer: $25.00 (good from Summer - Fall)
• Masters Athletes - a $25 yearly MWP Fee is required
• Splashball - NO annual fee is required  at this time

3. SEASONAL FEES - Our seasonal dues are calculated bi-weekly for each month of the season. The seasonal fees include

• Fee for age-based and Masters group  
• City of Mesa Fee
• Pool Fees per member for the use of the pool
•  Sports Engine Registration Fee charge is applied to the cost at 3% of Seasonal Fee + $1.50

Currently, Mesa Water Polo billing is divided up into seasons. 

The Spring Season will be 13 weeks. 

• AGE GROUP Spring Season is $295 + SE Fees 
• Masters Spring Season is $150 + SE Fees

DISCOUNTS

If you choose to pay in full, you will receive a 5% discount at checkout. If you decide to pay in installments, a deposit fee will be charged. After that, you can select your payment terms. Depending on the terms you choose, the remaining balance will be invoiced and automatically deducted using the payment method you used for registration.

If you have multiple family members you will receive a 10% discount at checkout with a family discount taken at checkout.

Please note that both discounts (paid in full and family)  can not be combined in the same order. 

Therefore if you are registering multiple athletes please choose the INSTALLMENT/ FAMILY Option. You will have the option to pay in full or in installments with the family discount at 10%.

**If you are joining mid-season your seasonal dues will be prorated and adjusted at final checkout automatically. 

5. TOURNAMENT FEES:   Each tournament will require an additional registration fee per athlete.  These fees are determined by the ENTRY FEE per team/tournament; Coaches Fess; # of players 

6.  TRAVEL FEES:  All travel tournaments will require lodging and transportation.  MWP will do its best to secure the best rates possible for travel tournaments. However, it is up to the individual member to secure and pay for lodging and transportation. 

SEASONAL FEES PER ATHLETE

We are a year-round water polo organization that organizes and invoices on a seasonal basis (Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall).

The planned seasons for 24/25 are:

Fall: August 12, 2024 - October 31, 2024

Winter: Nov 01 2024- February 1, 2025/*13 weeks of practice w/ 2-week holiday break*/ 

Spring:  February 2, 2025 - May 1, 2025/ 13 weeks

AGE GROUP MEMBERSHIP $295

MASTERS MEMBERSHIP $150

Summer: May 2, 2025 - August 2025

If you are a NEW MEMBER and are joining mid-season, no worries; we will prorate whatever weeks you missed before your registration. 

What Is Splashball™?

Splashball™  is a United States of America Water Polo organization and membership is designed to bridge the gap between learn-to-swim and the sport of water polo for children 5-8 participating in a Splashball™ Program. The intent is to provide basic skills and understanding of the sport in a recreational format. Although water polo is known for its toughness and endurance, Splashball™ harnesses all the fun, dynamic aspects of the game in a safe, easy-to-learn aquatic experience that will motivate kids to swim and stay fit. Mesa Water Polo Academy holds a current membership with USAWP to offer Splashball™ as part of our water polo community.
